Electric piano, guitar, saxophone, trombone, flute and percussion weave in and out of one another, shifting between tightly locked rhythms and spacious, free-flowing passages. “Follow the Clouds” and “The Sky for You & I” build from understated beginnings into rich, atmospheric arrangements, while “Dryland” and “New Orbits” are given fresh energy through extended interplay and some seriously funky playing.

There's a wonderful balance between the band's rhythmic precision and its willingness to follow the music wherever it leads, with Panfilov's warm, swirling playing often taking center stage. A fantastic live document that showcases the septet's chemistry and the more adventurous, spiritual side of Panfilov's sound.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0909/2920/1500/files/Misha-Panfilov-Septet-Live-In-Leipzig-Berlin-cover-art.jpg?v=1793646858
