Opening piece “The Sky for You and I” begins quietly before the full ensemble slowly enters, building a rich, immersive sound that feels both carefully arranged and completely spontaneous. On the flip side, “Fine and Dandy” follows a similarly unhurried path, gradually gathering momentum and developing into a beautifully restrained groove before drifting back into stillness. There's a strong sense of trust and communication between the musicians throughout, with each instrument given room to breathe and contribute to the larger picture.

Fans of Pharoah Sanders, Work Money Death and the more meditative side of spiritual jazz will find plenty to love here. A wonderfully immersive record that rewards patient listening and reveals a little more of itself with every spin.
