Outer Frequencies Radio: September 2025

This month’s playlist is all about off-kilter grooves and unexpected detours.

We kick off with Saâda Bonaire’s You Could Be More As You Are, a 1984 left-field disco cut that still feels like the future. From there, things get stranger in the best way: FFINOS gets remixed by Japanese underground hero DJ Subaru, turning Wedontdoitlikethat into a lean, late-night body mover. Pino Presti’s Funky Bump (long version, of course) adds a slap-happy 1970s strut, and Pellegrino’s Ad Libitum channels Mediterranean breeziness that belongs equally at a beach bar or a neon dancefloor. Domenique Dumont drifts in with Amants Ennemis, all pastel-hued synths and hushed vocals, before Lizzy Mercier Descloux yanks us back with her punk-funk growl on Hard-Boiled Babe. The back half keeps the curveballs coming: Danish pop eccentric Alle (Den rette vej), psychedelic dreamer Sunbeam Sound Machine (Career Year), and India Blue’s ethereal Cloudless mind.
