Is the shop currently open?

Not at the moment.

Outer Frequencies is currently relocating to the United States and the online shop is temporarily closed while we get settled and prepare for reopening.

When will the shop reopen?

We're aiming to reopen in the coming months.

A specific reopening date hasn't been announced yet, but newsletter subscribers will hear about it first.

Will you still ship internationally?

That's the plan.

Shipping options and rates are currently being reviewed and will be announced closer to reopening.

How do you pack records?

Every order is packed by hand using sturdy mailers designed specifically for vinyl records.

For larger orders, additional reinforcement and padding are used to help ensure records arrive safely.

Do you remove used records from jackets?

Yes.

To help prevent seam splits during transit, used and unsealed records are typically shipped outside the jacket but inside the inner sleeve and protective outer sleeve.

Sealed records are shipped sealed unless requested otherwise.

Do you use eco-friendly materials?

Whenever possible, yes.

We use recyclable mailers and regularly reuse clean packing materials when appropriate.

How do you grade vinyl?

We follow the Goldmine grading standard and grade both the record and sleeve separately.

Records are visually inspected and play-graded when necessary.

Do you clean used records?

Used records are lightly cleaned before shipping, though we always recommend giving secondhand records a proper cleaning before their first spin.

Will you continue selling used records?

Absolutely.

The shop will continue to focus on a mix of carefully selected new releases, reissues, and used records.

Do you buy used records?

Sometimes.

Although we mostly focus on new vinyl, we also stock select used releases from time to time. Feel free to get in touch if you have a collection or individual records you think might be a good fit for the shop.
