Recorded direct to reel inside the intimate walls of Onkiniemi Ateljee in Tampere, Finland, Live captures Finnish ensemble Oiro Pena in a moment of pure improvisational flow. The small former factory space, reborn as a cultural hub during the pandemic, places you right inside the room, where the band’s dense, intuitive interplay unfolds without safety nets. Moving fluidly between free jazz, experimental textures, and tightly wound collective rhythm, the performance is raw, immediate, and deeply organic. Live documents a band building music entirely in the moment, each twist, swell, and eruption shaped by the intensity of the players and the closeness of the space around them.
