Rujen – Velvet Dream

Atlanta’s Rujen return with Velvet Dream, a hazy, fuzzed-out blend of slacker jazz-rock, ’70s psychedelia, and neo-psych. Built around warm analog tape delays, quirky vintage effects, and plenty of gritty guitar, the album has a loose, lived-in quality that makes its 11 tracks feel both nostalgic and completely their own.

Underneath all the fuzz and groove, there’s a more introspective thread running through the record, with songs exploring time, self-doubt, and the possibility of personal change. If you’re into offbeat psychedelic rock with plenty of character and a little jazziness around the edges, Velvet Dream is a seriously fun listen.
