BALTHVS – Harvest

Recorded in a tropical villa in La Mesa, Colombia, Harvest captures BALTHVS at their most collaborative and liberated. The Colombian trio of Balthazar Aguirre, Johanna Mercuriana, and Santiago Lizcano spent a month drenched in heat and humidity, composing, producing, and arranging every track together, and the intimacy of that process radiates throughout the album. Sixteen tracks blend Middle Eastern melodies, surfy grooves, cumbia, disco, and funk into a lush, hypnotic soundscape, from the effervescent “Like Coconut Water” to the soulful instrumental “Mango Season” and the rain-soaked Spanish vocals of “Aguacero.”
