Neapolitan composer and keyboardist Giorgio Lopez sets sail on Berlin’s Cosmic Romance label with Sud Des Îles, a sun-drenched journey through 80s-inspired grooves, French boogie, and breezy, late-night atmospheres. Framed as a musical voyage aboard the fictional sailboat “Sud des Îles” with skipper Georges Taty and his crew of musicians, the album unfolds across eight tracks that drift between whirling rhythms, romantic illusions, and nostalgia-tinged euphoria.

From the infectious momentum of “Voyager Sans Bouger” to the dreamy, breezy sway of “Toujours Distante,” Lopez’s arrangements and distinctive keyboard work guide the listener through a vibrant, cinematic soundscape, propelled by meticulous production in collaboration with executive producer Ed Longo. Lead vocals from Stella, Master Phil, Amanda Roldan, Bernardino Femminielli, and the tight-knit “équipage de Sud des Îles” bring warmth and character, making each track feel both intimate and expansive.
