A short-lived but brilliant offshoot from King Crimson’s original lineup. After departing Crimson, Ian McDonald and Michael Giles crafted this 1970 release — a warm, melodic, and subtly adventurous record that trades the heavy tension of early prog for rich arrangements, jazz-inflected grooves, and gorgeous vocal harmonies.
Though only a single album, McDonald And Giles stands as a cult favorite among progressive rock fans — with standout moments like "Suite in C" and "Birdman" showcasing their compositional range and knack for intricate, yet inviting, song structures.
