Raw, spiritual flute jazz from Finnish multi-instrumentalist Antti Vauhkonen, the mind behind Oiro Pena. Recorded solo and played entirely by hand, these sessions capture a deep, searching energy that nods to the cosmic explorations of early Sun Ra and the lo-fi immediacy of private-press spiritual jazz.

There’s something elemental in this music, the sound of one person chasing connection through rhythm and tone. Flutes, brass, keys, and percussion merge in a loose, trance-like flow that feels ancient and spontaneous all at once.

Mastered by Samuli Tanner, with artwork by Arsi Keva and a silkscreened recycled sleeve, this 10" release from Ultraääni Records distills the essence of Oiro Pena, music born from solitude, guided by intuition, and glowing with human warmth.
