Led by Los Angeles bassist and composer Seth Ford-Young, Phi-Psonics return with Expanding To One, a meditative, community-centered exploration of sound and spirit. Recorded live over six intimate sessions at Pasadena’s Healing Force Of The Universe record store, the album captures fourteen spontaneous compositions shaped by presence, empathy, and connection.

Blending spiritual jazz, ambient textures, and improvised interplay, this double LP moves with a calm intensity. Tracks like There’s Still Hope and Healing Time drift through gentle basslines, glowing Wurlitzer tones, harp, and saxophone, offering a sense of spaciousness and quiet reflection. The music feels alive and unforced — a collective exhale after years of isolation.

Ford-Young describes the album as both a balm and a reminder: a reflection on togetherness in a fractured world, and a testament to what can happen when musicians and listeners truly share space.
