The Ironsides - Changing Light

Changing Light is the debut full-length from Bay Area collective The Ironsides, a richly cinematic psych-soul record steeped in the language of 60s and 70s European film soundtracks and library music. Built with lush orchestral arrangements by New York maestro Lou King and brought to life by a cast of local jazz and classical musicians, the album moves like a slow, panoramic drive, with soaring horns, tremolo-drenched guitars, deep soulful basslines, and sweeping strings unfolding with patient grace. Recorded at Transistor Sound Studios, home to much of the Colemine Records family, Changing Light blends California landscapes with nods to the Ramey brothers’ Italian heritage.
