For four decades, Gaye Mody Camara has been a quiet but essential figure in the West African music scene, recording and producing a vast catalog of releases under his Camara Production imprint. Wagadu Grooves brings together some of the most thrilling, head-spinning tracks from 1987-2016, showcasing the cross-cultural innovations of Soninke artists who blended traditional rhythms with modern zouk, reggae, funk, and rare-groove sensibilities.

This compilation is a rare glimpse into a criminally overlooked corner of African music, assembled in close collaboration with Camara himself and carefully remastered for the first time on heavyweight vinyl. From deep Malian grooves to hypnotic Mauritanian beats, each track pulses with the spirit of a diaspora in motion.

Housed in a deluxe gatefold sleeve with extensive liner notes, this second pressing (limited to 500 copies) marks an important milestone, coinciding with the UNESCO-recognized International Soninke Language Day.
