Wayne Snow - Figurine

Nigerian-born, Berlin-based singer Wayne Snow takes his soulful sound in a more adventurous direction on Figurine, a beautifully textured exploration of identity, self-discovery, and personal transformation. Written between Berlin and Paris, the album blends neo-soul, jazz, electronic music, and Afrofuturist influences, with Snow's distinctive falsetto floating over warm synths, intricate rhythms, and deeply atmospheric production.

Featuring contributions from producers Crayon, Nu Guinea, and Brandt Brauer Frick, alongside guitarist Oscar Jerome on the gorgeous closing track “Magnetic,” Figurine moves effortlessly between introspective, slow-burning moments and more vibrant, groove-driven territory. Tracks like “Nina” and “Seventy” showcase Snow's ability to make experimental arrangements feel intimate and deeply human. If you're into the forward-thinking soul of artists like SAULT, Hiatus Kaiyote, or Jordan Rakei, this one is well worth having in your collection.
