Danny Scott Lane – House of Alice

New York musician and sound artist Danny Scott Lane continues to refine his quietly dreamlike sound on House of Alice, a warm blend of jazz, ambient textures, and soft funk grooves. Inspired by the photography of Alice Austen and her Staten Island home, the album carries a similar sense of intimacy. Working alongside longtime collaborator David Lackner and newcomer Michael Gagliardi, Lane builds patient, tactile compositions that feel both relaxed and deeply considered. Like much of his work for WRWTFWW Records, the result drifts comfortably between moods: part new-age jazz daydream, part late-night groove, and entirely its own understated world.
