Led by German saxophonist Klaus Doldinger, Infinity Machine is Passport’s deep dive into interstellar jazz fusion—equal parts groove, atmosphere, and prog-funk experimentation. Released in 1976 on ATCO Records, it pulses with synthesizer textures, soaring sax lines, and locked-in rhythm section interplay that feels right at home between Herbie Hancock’s Thrust and the spacier side of Weather Report.
Tracks like “Ju-Ju Man” and “Infinity Machine” showcase Passport at their peak—channeling space-age precision with a cinematic touch. A cult favorite among European jazz-fusion heads and adventurous beatmakers, it's underrated, adventurous, and ripe for rediscovery.
This is a 1976 US pressing on ATCO Records (Cat#: SD 36-132). The cover is VG, still in its original shrink with some light creasing and shelf wear. The vinyl is VG+, clean and great-sounding.
